Following a brief introduction to SSVC's radio and TV welfare service delivery via satellite and IP, we look at the changing media consumption habits of deployed personnel and their families and the demand for more data bandwidth.

The presentation examines the impact of welfare bandwidth on satcoms, upstream and downstream IP networks, how it fits with strategies such as "Everything over IP" and "Bearers Of Opportunity" (BOO) and security.
